THE LAST HOWL (2025)
In 2004, Matt Paproski and his brother Troy gave the world a behind-the-scenes look at documentary film making as they raised the first wolf pup for their TV series, “Wildlife Wranglers.” However, things took a turn when Troy suffered a stroke, putting him in a wheelchair and forcing him to leave the project.
After a four-year hiatus, Matt decided to start over on his own with a second pup named “Aurora”, rescued from a fur farm. Matt soon added another wolf to the family, a black male pup named “Timber”.
Matt began his 20-year journey, documenting the search for the best home possible for the wolves. From cross-country educational tours to setting a world record, Matt and the wolves grow close, becoming family. The film shows the challenges they faced; from government issues to near bankruptcy and having to say goodbye to the wolves as they age.
This is shared by Matt, along with Troy, who has returned for the home stretch, as they interview experts about conservation, wolf culling, and wildlife abuse. What future do these animals, the brothers, have come to love face? The Last Howl is not just another wildlife documentary. It’s the ultimate family film.

FIRST RESPONSE (2006)
When it is you or your family in a vulnerable situation who are the people that help? They are First Responders that are trained for the unexpected, from raging grass fires and car pile-ups to hazardous waste spills and animals in trouble. Whether a big city in the US or Europe, or a village in India or Africa, these emergency workers, often volunteers, play a vital role in any community.
Take a rare look from the eyes of rescue crews responding to emergencies in rural western Canada, where few resources and people are available: The first crew is Penticton Search and Rescue in the mountains of British Columbia who in summer undertake a high angle rope rescue and helicopter evacuation of an injured climber. The second crew is the Rosetown Fire Department in the Saskatchewan prairies, who in winter conditions respond to a car crash and a farm fire.
Follow the chain of survival from incident to investigation and resolution for education and prevention. Find out first-hand who first responders are, what they do and why they do it...

Red Deer River Rescue near Drumheller, Alberta
Neighbors near Drumheller, Alberta respond to help a doe stranded in a frozen river. By using ropes and going in the river, she is rescued by a team led by ex-firefighter Matthew Todd Paproski.
I was trying to have a rare nap on a weekend afternoon and a facebook post I was following was bothering me. I kept checking my phone. Before resting I saw a post by a neighbor about a deer that was stuck in ice on the Red Deer River we live on. Being an ex-firefighter and feeling empathetic to a living-being suffering and near death and knowing I could do something about it made me respond instinctively. I filled my truck with canoe, sled, ropes, harnesses, hip waders and a life jacket.
I asked Laura to come for safety and as an after-thought she brought her camera. For bread and butter we are construction contractors but are also passionate wildlife filmmakers that have been saving animals. We want to inspire others to care for animals in distress. While helping out, Laura managed to get footage of the deer rescue. It was scar
Upon arrival at the scene, anonymous neighbours helped as I went down a steep bank. I had to go on thin ice to try and get close to the old doe but she tried to get away. I had to circle around behind her and get in the river myself to coax her toward shore. I tried lifting her out but she was weak and heavy. I wrapped a rope around her and with help from the shore pulling and me pushing at the same time, we got her out of the ice. It was an incredibly rewarding feeling to work with our neighbors to save the life of this animal.y but the right thing to do. We never would have attempted this if we did not have the training and abilities to succeed and do not encourage those that do not have experience.

LAND OF DREAMS: KINDERSLEY CENTENNIAL (2011)
Kindersley's 100th birthday was indeed the celebration of a century. But this historic milestone was almost overshadowed when Kindersley's 55 year-old arena was ravaged by fire in one of the biggest disasters ever to hit the town. Rallying together, citizens became even more determined to look to the future and not let the town's birthday go unnoticed.
This fervent community pride is plain to see during the five action-packed days of Kindersley's Centennial Celebrations, from a traditional wagon train trekking across the prairies to a reunion baseball game, a six-hour outdoor concert, and much more. Old friends reunite at a massive homecoming reunion, stock cars spin their wheels around Flatlanders Speedway, youth take a historic walk on Main Street, and Kindersley's biggest parade ever wows the masses.
Kindersley's Centennial Celebrations were all about honouring the past and creating new memories for the future. Even the Canadian Armed Forces joined the celebration as more than 40 military and navy personnel visited Kindersley with combat vehicles and artillery in tow to march in the parade and rededicate the cemetery in memory of local veterans.
As former residents share their fondest memories of the community, young and old celebrate all that Kindersley has become. Land of Dreams captures all of the enthusiasm, community spirit, and heartfelt devotion that Kindersley residents, both past and present, share for their town, and see why it remains one of the most vibrant communities in Saskatchewan.
